Puzzles have recently become popular at my house. We’ve finished two in the past month or so. We know we finished because the puzzles had a standard border and we filled in all the pieces creating a picture. The Infinite Galaxy Puzzle has no edges and no way to determine if you’ve finished because the pieces can be flipped and put in other areas of the puzzle. It’s literally never ending — thus the word “infinite”. It can be assembled in thousands of different ways. The puzzle also features special space themed whimsy pieces; an astronaut, space shuttle, and satellite. Contains 133 laser cut birch plywood pieces.
Factoid: The jigsaw puzzle with the most pieces consisted of 551,232 pieces and was completed with an overall measurement of 14.85 x 23.20 m (48 ft 8.64 in x 76 ft 1.38 in) by 1,600 students of the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) on 24 September 2011. It took the students 17 hours to first break up the 3,132 sections, each containing 176 pieces, into which the jigsaw puzzle had been divided, and then re-assemble them to create the puzzle.
