Ever watch sci-fi movies with different languages that everyone seems to understand? The more languages there are, the more unlikely it is that all will be understood...unless...there's a hidden piece of tech assisting in the translation? Here on Earth we're getting closer to that reality. Waverly Labs made the world's first language-translating earpiece: the Pilot. How it works is you wear one earpiece and the other person in the conversation wears the other pair. The translation can be heard in the earpiece almost immediately as it's spoken.

The crowdfunding Indiegogo campaign launches on May 25.

Factoid: Sadly, there are currently about 2,400 languages worldwide that are in danger of becoming extinct.
