Cascadia Candle Co – Mt Saint Helens Eruption Candle and Base

121

Since you haven't finished constructing your time machine here's an easy alternative to see the before and after of the Mt Saint Helens eruption. The Mt Saint Helens Candle and its holder. Cascadia Candle Co has taken historical topographical data from before the eruption and translated that into a highly accurate modern day model of Mt Saint Helens, cast in concrete. This model serves as the candle holder. The candle insert is an accurate recreation of the portion of the mountain that was ejected on May 18th 1980.

Factoid: The Mt Saint Helen eruption blows off more than 1,000 feet from the top of the mountain, leaving a huge crater. The mountain had been known for its snow-capped peak, earning the nickname "the Fuji of America" for its resemblance to Japan's Mount Fuji. Volcanic ash spreads across the Northwest. More than 900,000 tons of ash are cleaned up from areas around Washington state.
