Wayv's Adventurer is a portable microwave created with the hopes that it'll utilized during emergencies by militaries and humanitarian groups. It's small, about the size of a thermos, and can fit easily in a pack or bag. On one battery charge it can warm up to six meals or drinks - roughly 30 minutes of use. Recharge the batteries with solar or electrical outlets.
Factoid: Microwave ovens were an accidental discovery. In the 1940s Percy Spencer was working on radar equipment when he noticed the chocolate bar in his pocket was melting. He first popped popcorn and exploded an egg as he tested out his idea.
